AWARDS BANQUET

The annual Awards Banquet will be held on Monday, May 6, 2002. The banquet will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the high school gymnasium with the awards ceremony to follow starting at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Each family attending the banquet is asked to bring two covered dishes and their own table service. Drinks will be furnished by PTS and some meat will be furnished by the Athletics Department. The public is welcome to attend.

HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION

The Adair County R-II High School graduation ceremony will be held in the high school gymnasium on Saturday, May 25, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend.

The twenty-one seniors include Ashley Alexander, Leslie Beck, Del Conn, Kenny Cornelison, Brandon Crandall, Josh Darnel, Lindsey Dimmitt, Amanda Elsea, Samantha Lowe, James Montgomery, Trent Platz, Tami Sack, Meghan Salter, Kortney Shahan, Krystal Short, Dustin Sizemore, Kate Slavin, Dru Talbert, Jennifer Thrasher, Rachel Turner, and Joe Zikan.

The receiving line for the graduates will be in the cafeteria as well as a reception hosted by the National Honor Society.

SIXTH GRADE PROMOTION

The Adair County R-II sixth grade promotion ceremony will be held in the high school gymnasium on Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend.

The seventeen sixth graders include David Anderson, Tiffany Blake, Jeremy Clay, Jessi Hill, Tyler Horton, Hailee Kelsey, Alexis Longano, J.J. McFarland, Ashlee Mills, Johnathan Perry, Tony Raine, Ashley Schneiderheinze, Christina Scudder, Monika Shaver, Jacob Shipman, Kale Watson, and James Woods.

2002 YEARBOOK SALES

Just a reminder that yearbooks may still be purchased. Yearbooks ordered on or after May 1 will be $34. Please remember that the number of yearbooks ordered for the year is limited.

BOARD REORGANIZES

The Adair County R-II Board of Education met in special session on Friday, April 5, 2002, to certify the election results and to reorganize the Board. The officers elected are as follows: President, Brenda Kelsey; Vice President, Doug Clarkson; Secretary, Kenny Crandall; Treasurer, Eddy Turner; MSBA Delegate, Brent Hettinger. Members are Curtis Gordon and Brad Smith.

LUNCH REFUNDS

Lunch refunds will only be given out to Seniors on their last day of school. Karla will be sending home bills for those students with a negative balance in their accounts. Any money remaining in your child(ren)'s account(s) will be carried over to the 2002-2003 school year. Refunds will be given only if requested. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Renee or Karla at 323-5272.

TIGER PRIDE

Instructor Michael Killen took several students and their projects from his Industrial Technology classes to the district contest on Friday, April 12 in Moberly. The following students won first place in their division and will compete at state contest in Jefferson City on Saturday, April 27: Lisa Coin, cedar chest; Jessica Rudd, coffee table; Kellie Primmer, clock; Damien Patterson, lamp; Danny Clarkson, can cooler and shelf; Josh Edwards, billfold and cap rack; Shaina Mountain, wall hanging; Tyler Killen, t-shirt; Danielle Lowe, t-shirt; Patricia Woods, billfold; and for the fifth year in a row Josh Darnel, trailer. Good luck students!

Congratulations to Josh Darnel on qualifying for the 2002 Missouri Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Test. Josh and Eric Vice, automotive mechanics classmate from Kirksville, were among the top ten teams in Missouri that competed in the written exam and won the right to go to the hands-on portion of the contest. The contest will be held on Thursday, May 16 at the AAA Diagnostic Car Clinic in St. Louis. Good luck Josh!

Congratulations to Sarah Wheeler and Lacy Church for being chose to represent our school at Missouri Girls State this summer. Shaina Mountain has been chosen as an alternate.
