ONE-WAY TRAFFIC IN FRONT

OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

We are very concerned about the safety of our students and for this reason we are asking that all traffic in front of the elementary school become one-way, headed west, twenty-four hours a day.  We have asked the City Council to consider adopting this as a city ordinance.  In the event that this happens, we will post signs.  Until then, we are asking that you help keep our children safe by remembering to not drive eastward on the block fronting the elementary school.  There will continue to be two-way traffic in front of the high school.

Just a reminder:  a speed limit of ten (10) miles per hour is established for all motor vehicles operated on the school premises.

When dropping off children, be sure to pull up to the north side of the street so that your child does not have to cross in front of traffic.  Thank you for your consideration and understanding in this matter.
