READING WEEK
2016
”Time Out for Reading” is the theme for this years Reading
Week. Join us for our kickoff on
Tuesday, November 15, 2016, from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Food
will be served in the cafeteria from 5:30-6:15 p.m. and will include hot dogs,
nachos, drinks, and popcorn. Activities
will include relay races, miniature golf, bowling, plus a basketball shooting
contest. Students will sign up to win
books!
The book
fair will also be here that night.
Come
join us for a night of fun!
TIGER PRIDE
Our softball and
baseball teams recently completed their fall seasons. The girls finished with a 4-4 record in the conference and an
overall record of 5-11. The boys
finished 4-4 in the conference and 6-4 overall. Tri-County All-Conference selections included Averi Acton and
Jacob Bleything—First Team and Alexa Higgins and Colt Acton—Second Team. Averi Acton and Alexa Higgins were also
selected to the All-District Second Team.
Congratulations
to the following students for representing our school in the 2016 Tri-County
Conference Choir Tour on Monday, October 17: Celia Kincaid, Morgan Magruder,
Madeline McGinnis, and Megan McHenry.
They joined students from eight schools that performed on tour at
LaPlata, Atlanta, and Bevier.
Congratulations
also to Kameren McGinnis and Megan McHenry for their selection to the Northeast
District Choir.

Bring
canned food items to the November 14 junior high basketball games against Mary
Immaculate and receive $1 off your admission for each item donated. The food
will be given to the Food Pantry of Adair County.

Breakfast
each day includes milk and juice. Students may choose cereal instead of the breakfast item offered. The following items are offered
daily for students to choose from in lieu of the lunch entrée: yogurt or a
WOWBUTTER® (peanut butter
replacement) and jelly sandwich.
November 1-4
Tuesday: Breakfast pizza/Chili cheese dog, chips, broccoli, pears,
rice krispie treat, milk
Wednesday: Biscuit, sausage, egg, cheese/Chicken strips, noodles, vegetable, peaches, brownie, milk
Thursday: Cheese omelet, toast/Hot pocket, tater tots, green beans,

November 7-11
