Green City Baseball/Softball Doubleheader at Brashear Friday

The Gophers and Tigers split a pair of Tri-County Conference games.

The Brashear Lady Tiger softball team took advantage of walks and defeated the Lady Gophers of Green City Friday night by a score of 15-1 after 5 innings. Hailee Kelsey tripled and Christina Scudder hit a grand slam home run for Brashear. Scudder pitched a 1-hitter striking out 11 and walking none to pick up the win.

In the baseball game, Brashear gave up 5 runs in the top of the first and were never able to overcome the deficit. The Tigers rallied for a run in the 6th, and again mounted a 2-out rally in the 7th, but the game ended with the bases loaded for Brashear. The final score was 7-2 in favor of Green City.
