Brashear Finishes Regular Season At Green City Thursday

Lady Tigers sweep a pair of non-conference softball games over Green City.

With conference play completed and Districts coming up next week, Brashear hit the road to Green City Thursday for a varsity/ JV doubleheader. The varsity game was played first with Brashear getting on the board in the top of the 1st. Brashear took advantage of walks and some aggressive base running to cruise to a 6-inning 15-3 win. Jessi Hill supplied a lot of the offensive punch when she hit a bases loaded, 3 rbi double. Christina Scudder also doubled and Carmen Woods had a pair of singles for Brashear. Scudder picked up the win for Brashear fanning 11, walking none, and giving up 3 hits.

The JV contest saw Brashear pushing across 14 runs to get the win 14-4. Emily Ladwig got the win for Brashear.

Brashear faces Knox County October 4 in District play at LaPlata.
