Brashear at Green City Thursday in JH Basketball Action

Lady Tigers roll to another win, but the Gophers proved too much for the Tigers.

The Brashear Lady Tigers got a 30-10 victory on the road Thursday at Green City. Brashear jumped out to a 7-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and picked up their 4th win of the season. Emily Ladwig and Shelby Rogers led Brashear scoring with 8 each. Macy Rogers and Ashley Collop added 4 each, and Chandi March, Stephanie Elsea, Rachel Ferguson, Katie Smith and Sydney Slavin each scored 2 points. Green City was led by Shelby Jacobs with 8 points and Larinda Rogers added 2.

In the boys game, Green City outscored Brashear in every quarter except the 4th rolling to a 46-25 win. Anthony Ambrosia led Brashear with 8 points. Adam Songer, Joe Clarkson, and Taren Treasure each chipped in 4, Nick Thomas had 3, and Hayden Coin added 2 points. For Green City, Dylann Brundage had 15, Christopher Hoerrman had 9, Randy Jasso scored 6, Tyler Watson and JT Thomas each had 5, and Cody Holt, Cody Johnson and Garrett King had 2 points each.

In B action, Brashear won the girls game 12-2. Kristen Love, Katie Smith, and Megan Taylor each had 4 for the Lady Tigers. Jammie Berry and Maren Hatcher each had 1 point for Green City. In the boys game, Green City edged Brashear 10-8. John Hicks led the way for Brashear with 4 points with Dakota Walker and Joe Clarkson adding 2 points each.
