Mary Immaculate Hawks Visit Brashear Friday

The Mary Immaculate 7-8 grade basketball girls get a win on the road.

Friday night saw the Brashear Lady Tigers hosting the Mary Immaculate Hawks for a girls basketball game. Brashear jumped out to an early lead of 10-2 at the end of the 1st quarter. The Lady Hawks battled back in the 2nd quarter briefly taking the lead before Brashear pulled back ahead 12-11 at halftime. The game continued to be close through the second half with Mary Immaculate outscoring Brashear 11-7 in the last quarter to get the 28-23 win. The Lady Hawks were led by Chloe Wichmann with 18 followed by Kendyl Blanke and Jessica Barlow with 4 each and Brett Marek with 2 points. Brashear's top scorer was Shelby Rogers with 11. Macy Rogers added 6, Stephanie Elsea had 4, and Sydney Slavin had 2 points.
