Bevier JH Hoop Squads Visit Brashear Tuesday
The Brashear girls have a big 3rd quarterand Bevier's Jesse Shelmadine turns in a 39 point performance in the boys game.
The Bevier girls looked to make things tough on the Lady Tigers Tuesday. The two teams battled back and forth with Brashear holding a slim14-12 halftime lead. The Lady Tigers came out strong in the 3rd however, and outscored Bevier 14-2 on their way to a 36-21 win. Macy Rogers and Ashley Collop each had 8 points for Brashear with Emily Ladwig and Shelby Rogers chipping in 6 each. Sydney Slavin added 4 and Stephanie Elsea and Abby McKim had 2 points each. For Bevier, Dominica Prokup had 8, Valle Wilson had 7, Samantha Templeton and Lynnsey Keen had 2 points each, and Michelle Siemens and Cheyenne Shelmadine had 1 point each.
In the boys game, Jesse Shelmadine and Anthony Ambrosia lit up the nets. Shelmadine started the game with a quick pair of 3 pointers igniting a 12-0 Bevier run. He finished with 39 points. Ambrosia turned in a 22 point performance of his own for Brashear. In the end, Bevier cruised to a 48-34 win. For Brashear, the leading scorer was Anthony Ambrosia with 22, Cody Snelling had 6, and Adam Songer, Nick Thomas, and Joe Clarkson had 2 points each. Along with Jesse Shelmadine's 39, Drew Kerns had 4, Dalton Livingston had 3 and Andy McGhee scored 2 points.
