Brashear JH Plays at Macon County Monday Night

Brashear takes the girls contest and Macon County dumps Brashear in the boys game.

The Brashear girls continued their win streak Monday. Their "A" squad has been undefeated since losing 20-18 to Novinger the second game of the season. The Lady Tigers jumped out to a 13-0 lead at the end of the 1st and rolled to a 36-24 win. Ashley Collop and Emily Ladwig had 8 points each for Brashear. Megan Taylor added 6, Stephanie Elsea and Kristen Love each had 4, Macy Rogers had 3, Abby McKim had 2, and Chandi March scored 1 point. Sara Duncan led Macon County with 8, Abby Lusher and Hanna Souther each had 6, and Holly Hall had 4 points.

In the boys game, both teams struggled offensively in the 1st half with Brashear up 6-5 at halftime. Macon County pulled ahead 16-14 at the end of the 3rd and went on to a 25-17 win. Cody Snelling led the losing effort with 11 points, and Daniel Smith, Adam Songer, and Hayden Coin had 2 points each. Ethan Thompson led Macon County with 9, James Fisher and Emil McKim had 5 each, and Jacob Klingsmith and Wade Burstert added 3 points each.
