Brashear girls and LaPlata boys claim first.

In Friday night girls action, the Bucklin girls defeated Green City 17-12 to take home the Consolation trophy. Atlanta beat LaPlata 38-26 to claim 3rd place. In Friday's only boys game, Atlanta edged Green City 39-38 to take Consolation.

In Saturday's boys action, Bucklin downed Macon County 43-28 for 3rd place and LaPlata defeated Bevier 62-39 in the championship game. The girls championship game featured Brashear and Novinger, a pair of teams who had tangled twice before. In both previous meetings, Novinger had come out on top. Brashear looked like a team on a mission early in the game going on an 11-0 run to start the game. Novinger fired up in the second quarter and by halftime had pulled within 1 point at 13-12. Brashear padded their lead and finished the 3rd quarter up 23-16. Both teams battled fiercely with several players fouling out, but Brashear refused to give up their lead and took the championship with a 36-30 win over the Wildcats. Brashear's Macy Rogers led all scorers with 16. Shelby Rogers added 9, Megan Taylor had 4, Stephanie Elsea had 3, and Emily Ladwig and Sydney Slavin each had 2 points. For Novinger, Kelsey Potter had 10, Becca White had 7, Ariel Rader and Trisha Potter each scored 4 points, Sara Tallman had 3, and KaCei Lindquist had 2 points.
