Brashear Lady Tigers and Marion County Lady Mustangs Complete Fire-Interrupted Game at North Shelby.

Saturday was the makeup day for the North Shelby Tournament after fire had interrupted the girls 3rd place game after 1 quarter of play. The contest resumed at the start of the 2nd quarter with Marion County up 13-7.

As play resumed Saturday, Brashear had their work cut out for them. Marion County had bested Brashear twice already during this season and Brashear was beginning with a 6 point deficit. Brashear closed to within 5 at 18-13 at halftime, then managed to take a brief 2nd half lead before falling to the Lady Mustangs 37-30. The win gave Marion County the 3rd place finish. Hailee Kelsey had 11 points for Brashear, Christina Scudder and Chelsey Collop had 6 each, Kimberly Elsea had 5, and Jessi Hill scored 2 points. For Marion County, Taylor Spratt scored 11, Jenny Mitchell and Ranay Sharpe had 9 each, Maggie Hastings scored 6, and Jordan Johnson scored 2 points.
