Brashear Wins Tri-County Conference Academic Bowl Tournament
The Brashear junior high and varsity academic bowl teams both took 1st place Saturday at Macon County.
After going undefeated and claiming conference titles in regular season conference play, both Brashear teams were ready to take on their other fellow Tri-County Conference teams at the double-elimination conference tournament. The Brashear JH team ran their season record to 12-0 with wins over Macon County (305-175), Green City (360-60), Bucklin (415-125), and Bucklin (440-120) to claim 1st place. Bucklin finished 2nd, Novinger was 3rd, and Macon County took 4th place.
The HS team ran their record to 11-0 with wins over Bucklin (245-70), LaPlata (280-120), Green City (310-160), and Green City (260-185) to also take 1st. Place. Green City claimed 2nd place, Macon County won 3rd, and LaPlata took 4th place.
