Brashear Hosts Linn County In Baseball Season Opener

The Tigers can't muster enough offense to overcome the Mustangs, falling 4-1.

Brashear's Jacob Shipman got off to a good start on the mound, fanning the 1st six Linn County batters. He also helped his cause with a solo homer in the 1st to put the Tigers up 1-0. Unfortunately, Brashear couldn't string together enough hits while the Linn County bats came to life in the top of the 3rd when a pair of singles and a home run put the Mustangs on top. Linn County added an insurance run in the 5th with another solo blast. Tyler Killen had a pair of singles, and Brandon Gordon had a double for Brashear.
