Brashear at Atlanta October 15, 2007

The Brashear JH Tiger basketball squads hit the road for their first regular season games.

The Atlanta and Brashear boys' B teams started the evening with a 2-quarter game. Brashear lead 6-4 after the 1st quarter and won the game 12-6. For Brashear, Joseph Woods had 8, and Zach Reeves and Jay Scudder scored 2 points each. For Atlanta, Cody Benowitz, Jake Baker, and Jesse Likes had 2 points each.

The girl's game was all Brashear with the Lady Tigers leading at the quarter breaks by scores of 15-2, 31-4, 41-6 and finishing 43-10. Macy Rogers led Brashear with 12, Sydney Slavin had 10, Shelby Rogers scored 7, Katie Smith and Shelby Salter had 4 each, and Miranda Creason, Kristen Love, and Abigail Wheeler had 2 points each. For Atlanta, Cindy Erwin and Miranda Hruska had 4 each and Haley Rhoades scored 2 points.

The Atlanta boys jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the 1st and went into halftime leading 19-6. The Hornets extended their lead to 31-8 after three and took the game by a score of 42-10. Cody Snelling had 6 for Brashear, and Hayden Housman and Matt McCloud had 2 points each. For Atlanta, Travis Miller had 13, Preston Ross had 10, Zach Voss scored 9, Chris Cox had 3, Mick Garnett, Nathaniel Lush, and Aaron Simpson had 2 each, and Jesse Likes scored 1 point.
