Brashear JH Basketball at Novinger October 30, 2007

The Tigers pick up wins in the girls B, boys B, and girls A games Tuesday.

The evening of basketball began with a pair of 2-quarter B games. In the girls B game, Brashear led 6-3 after the 1st quarter and picked up the win 11-3.

The Brashear B boys got their running game going early, jumping out to a 12-2 lead after one quarter and picking up a 16-5 win. The B boys are now 5-0 on the season.

In the girls A game, Brashear held a 1st quarter lead of 9-4 and led at halftime 22-9. The Lady Tiger lead after 3 quarters was 33-16, but a scrappy Novinger squad outscored Brashear 14-8 in the last quarter falling to the Lady Tigers by a final score of 41-30.

The Brashear boys A team took an 8-5 lead after the 1st period of play, but the teams fought a see-saw battle with Brashear taking a 15-12 lead into halftime. The game remained close throughout the 3rd quarter with Brashear holding a 22-21 lead. Novinger scored 10 points in the final frame while holding Brashear to 4 free-throws on 11 attempts to get the win 31-26.
