The Tigers pick up a pair of conference wins on homecoming night.
The Lady Tigers got off to a quick 18-6 start in the first quarter and led 40-18 at half-time. Macon County turned in a strong 3rd quarter performance, but still trailed 53-32 and Brashear picked up the win by a score of 60-40. Abby McKim and Macy Rogers had 14 points each for Brashear, Emily Ladwig added 12, Caroline Slavin had 8, Shelby Rogers had 6, Stephanie Elsea had 4, and Sydney Slavin scored 2 points. For Macon County, Amanda Lochner scored 14 points, Hanna Souther had 11, Alyssa Peterson had 10, Holly Hall had 3, and Jackie Rowe scored 2 points. Brashear finished regular season play with a record of 8 and 17.
In the boys' game, Brashear led 23-4 after one quarter, 42-6 at the half, 50-16 after 3 quarters and picked up the win 62-22. Ryan Ferdig led Brashear with 14 points, Matt Thomas had 12, Anthony Ambrosia and Justin Hazen had 6 points each, Kiley Watson and Cody Snelling had 4 points each, Michael McKim, Jacob Owen, Zach Reeves, and Hayden Coin each had 3 points, and Adam Songer and Trae Treasure scored 2 points each. Wade Burstert led Macon County with 17 points, Ethan Thompson had 3, and Josh Anderson and Zac Hall scored 1 point each. Brashear finished regular season play with a record of 22 and 4.
