Class 1 District 11 Academic Bowl Tournament Results April 18, 2009

North Shelby advances to sectional play against Bucklin Thursday night.

North Shelby hosted the Class 1 District 11 Academic Bowl Tournament Saturday. The day began with pool play to seed teams into the championship bracket.

Based upon their 3-0 pool record, Brashear drew top seed, but dropped their 1st round bracket game 145-135 to previously winless Bevier. Number 2 seed North Shelby advanced with a 185-180 win over LaPlata. In the championship game, North Shelby rolled to a 235-75 win over Bevier.

An All-District team was named based upon average questions answered per game. Players honored were:
