The visiting Mustangs sweep the host Tigers

The Linn County Lady Mustangs got off to a fast start and ran the score to 9-0 after one quarter and held a 24-8 lead at halftime. They continued to dominate play in the 3rd quarter and extended their lead to 36-11 on their way to a 40-17 victory. Audrey DeBie led Brashear scorers with 7 points, Allison Thompson had 3, Kayla Snelling, Meredith Thomas, and Alli Garrett had 2 each, and Olivia Thompson scored 1 point. For Linn County, Maci Hullinger scored 27 points, Kurstin Wilson had 4, Taylor Page added 3, and Kelsey Barker, Aletha Grismore, and Brittni Buswell scored 2 points each.

The Brashear boys fared no better as Linn County jumped out to a 19-2 1st quarter lead and went into halftime leading 25-6. The Mustangs continued to outscore the Tigers in the second half leading 40-12 after 3 quarters and winning by a margin of 46-17. For Brashear, Hayden Housman had 12 points, Curtis Blakely and Chance Hill had 2 each, and Jeremy Barnes scored 1 point. Josh Allen scored 15 for Linn County, Ty Stillwell had 8, Spencer Hostetler and Bryar Bookout had 7 points each, Alec Finney, Derek Wilson, Skyler Creason, and Blake Burkholder had 2 each, and Luscas Woodside scored 1 point.

In the girls B game, Linn County topped Brashear 10-1 and the Linn County B boys downed Brashear 11-4.
