The Tigers pick up a win over Princeton, but the Lady Tigers fall to Southwest.

On New Year's Eve, the Tigers headed out to Trenton for a pair of basketball games. The Lady Tigers played first against Southwest. Southwest jumped out to a 25-2 lead after one quarter and led 41-5 at halftime on their way to a 61-9 win. For Brashear, Stephanie Elsea, Shelby Salter, Abby McKim, and Sydney Slavin each scored 2 points and Chandi March scored 1 point.

The Brashear boys got off to a quick start running up a 19-2 lead over Princeton after 1 quarter. Princeton came charging back in the 2nd quarter closing the gap to 30-27 at halftime. Although Princeton stayed close during the 2nd half, Brashear continued to lead the entire game and got the win by a score of 59-50. Matt Thomas had 22 points for Brashear, Anthony Ambrosia added 14, Jay Scudder had 10, Cody Snelling had 8, Adam Songer had 3,and Taren Treasure scored 2 points.
