The Brashear Lady Tigers played Scotland County and the Tigers faced LaPlata.

The Scotland County girls opened up a 15-8 lead after the 1st quarter and extended their lead to 32-12 at halftime. Brashear battled hard during the 3rd quarter to stay within 48-22, but Scotland County eventually prevailed 60-26. Shelby Salter scored 8 points for Brashear, Stephanie Elsea added 7, Sydney Slavin had 4, Abby McKim, Chandi March, and Ashley Watson had 2 each, and Katie Smith scored 1 point. For Scotland County, Ashley Tague scored 18 points, Courtney Jackson and Jamie Shaw had 8 each, Kiley Frazier and Aimee Dale scored 6 each, Anna Duley and Cali Holt had 5 each, and Skyler Alderton and Catie Shalley scored 2 points each.

Having faced LaPlata twice already this season, Brashear coach Don Wilburn knew his opponent and had made his game plan. What he hadn't counted on was having his 6-7 center Jay Scudder go out of the game with a knee injury in the very first possession of the game. LaPlata quickly put 4 points on the board, but Brashear played a very patient 1st quarter and held a 5-4 lead at it's conclusion. LaPlata was able to push the tempo a little more in the 2nd and outscored the Tigers 25-11 to take a 29-16 lead into the locker room. Brashear was able to once again dictate the pace during the 3rd quarter, but couldn't close the gap and trailed 36-23 after 3 quarters. Momentum started to swing towards Brashear in the 4th quarter as they closed to within 2 points during the final minute. Trailing by 3 as the clock wound down, Brashear got off one last 3 point shot, but it rimmed out giving LaPlata the 49-46 win. Anthony Ambrosia led all scorers with 18 points for Brashear, Matt Thomas added 11, Cody Snelling had 6, Adam Songer and Zach Reeves had 4 each, and Taren Treasure scored 3 points. For LaPlata, Birdie Buck and Taylor Wheeler scored 14 points each, Hayden Fouch had 8, Dalton Smith had 5, Christian Bunch had 4, and Peyton Swift and Weston Smith scored 2 points each.

In other Tuesday games, the Scotland County boys defeated Marion County 50-36, and the Knox County girls downed North Shelby 51-19.
