Milan Baseball at Brashear April 20, 2010
The host Tigers take the varsity game and Milan wins the JV contest.
After a scoreless 1st inning, Brashear's Adam Songer got the home team on the scoreboard with a solo homer in the bottom of the 2nd. Milan's Schoonover answered in the top of the third with a solo shot of his own to knot the score at 1-1. Brashear broke the game open in the bottom of the 3rd with 5 runs including a home run by Matt Thomas. Milan added another run in the 5th on a homer by Coon and Brashear added a run in the 5th and 4 runs in the 6th including home runs by Cody Snelling, Jay Scudder, and Nick Bradshaw. Brashear won by a final score of 11-2. For Brashear, Scudder had 3 hits, Snelling, Songer, Nick Thomas, and Bradshaw had 2 hits each, and Hayden Housman, Matt Thomas, and Daniel Smith had hits. Schoonover and Coon had Milan's only hits. Matt Thomas picked up the win striking out 15. Cody Snelling pitched one inning of relief striking out 3 and yielding no hits. Bankus took the loss for Milan with May-Rolley and Coon pitching in relief.
Milan took the JV game by a score of 3-0.
