Number 2 seed Brashear got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the 1st as Matt Thomas tripled and Cody Snelling drove him in with an rbi double. The Tigers scored again in the 3rd as Adam Songer drew a 1-out walk and Matt Thomas drove him in with an rbi double. From that point on, there was no scoring as Green City's Dylan Brundage limited Brashear to 3 hits, while Brashear's Hayden Coin threw 6 innings of shutout ball. Matt Thomas came in with the bases loaded in the 7th inning striking out 3 straight batters to preserve Brashear's 2-0 victory. For Brashear, Matt Thomas had a triple and a double, and Cody Snelling had a double. Green City's Dylan Brundage and Christopher Hoermann each had a pair of singles, and Aaron Conner had a double.

In other 1st round action, LaPlata downed Marion County 23-0, Atlanta edged North Shelby 6-5, and Canton beat Novinger 5-3.
