The top half of the 1st went quietly at Marion County batters were retired in order, but the bottom of the 1st was anything but quiet at Brashear exploded for 7 runs. Marion County would get a pair of runs in the top of the 3rd and another in the 5th, but Brashear tacked on another 6 runs to end the game 13-3 after 5 innings. For Brashear, Shelby Salter, Cierra Hines, and Abby McKim each had a pair of hits and Katie Watson and Ashley Watson also had hits. Kaelyn Spratt, Jessica Redd, and Amy Behning had hits for Marion County. Cierra Hines got the win for Brashear with Amber Kriegbaum and Randi Plunkett pitching for Marion County.
