Knox County Baseball at Brashear March 30, 2011

The host Tigers take an 8-6 come from behind win.

In Wednesday night's baseball game, Knox County put 2 runs on the board in the top of the 1st, but Brashear answered in the 2nd as Hayden Coin homered for 1 run and Adam Songer drew a bases loaded walk to bring in Jay Scudder with a 2nd run. Knox County re-established their lead at 4-2 with a pair of runs in the 3rd and led 6-4 going into the bottom of the 5th. Cody Snelling and Nick Thomas both singled, then Jay Scudder and Hayden Housman drove them home to knot the score at 6 all. Brashear took the lead in the bottom of the 6th as Nick Bradshaw and Nick Thomas hit solo home runs to give the Tigers an 8-6 lead and the win. Hayden Coin homered twice for Brashear along with homers by Nick Bradshaw and Nick Thomas. Thomas had 3 hits, Coin, Cody Snelling, and Jay Scudder had 2 hits each, and Adam Songer, Nick Bradshaw, Hayden Housman, and Curtis Blakely each had hits. J. Barnard and W. Minear both homered for Knox County. Hayden Coin got the start and the win for Brashear going 6 innings and striking out 8. Cody Snelling got the save with 2 strikeouts. D. Edwards and C. Morford pitched for Knox County.
