Brashear Baseball at North Shelby April 12, 2011

The Tigers top the Raiders for a road win.

Tuesday night's game started out with a 1-2-3 first inning for both teams. Brashear got on the scoreboard in the top of the 2nd as Hayden Coin tripled and Jay Scudder brought him in with a fly ball to center for a 1-0 lead. The Tigers scored another pair in the 4th before tallying 6 runs in the 6th including a 3-run homer by Hayden Coin and a 2-rbi single by Nick Bradshaw. North Shelby got on the scoreboard on a Henderson single and 3 balk calls in the 5th, then added 2 more runs in the 6th and had the bases loaded with 1 out. Nick Thomas took the mound in relief and threw one pitch, producing a chopper back to him. He fired home, then Nick Bradshaw fired to 1st for the inning-ending double play. Brashear won by a final margin of 9-3. For Brashear, Coin had a home run and a triple, Adam Songer doubled, Hayden Housman had 2 hits, and Cody Snelling had a hit. For North Shelby, Arnett, Thrasher, Skinner, Jackson, and Henderson had hits. Cody Snelling got the win, starting for Brashear with Adam Songer and Nick Thomas pitching in relief. Thrasher took the loss for North Shelby with Stoneburner pitching in relief.
