Brashear Baseball at Knox County March 28, 2012
Knox County pounded out 13 hits for 13 runs Wednesday night as they downed the visiting Tigers 13-1 in a 5-inning game. Brashear's lone run came in the 2nd inning as Luke Morrow reached on an error, then moved to 2nd base on a balk. Curtis Blakely then put a ball into play that allowed Morrow to score. Knox County opened the game with a 3-run 1st, then blew the game open in a 9-run 3rd inning. Colton Danger, Joey McCauley, Jared Barnard, Royce Poore, Will Minear, Sam Minear, Ryan Strange, and Donovan Edwards had hits for Knox County. Nick Bradshaw got the start for Brashear going 2 1/3 innings with Gabe Thomas pitching in relief. Jared Barnard started and picked up the win for Knox County with Sam Minear pitching in relief, teaming up for the no-hitter.
