The visiting Lady Mustangs of Marion County struck first Tuesday night, taking a 2-0 lead in the the 1st inning. Marion County added 3 more runs in the top of the third to lead 5-0 before Brashear got on the board with a run in the bottom of the frame. Things started to look up for Brashear as they scored 3 in the 4th, one in the 5th and 3 in the 6th to claim an 8-7 win. Meredith Thomas, Shelby Salter, and Alli Garrett each went 2 for 4 for Brashear with Alexa Acton, Mandy Taylor, and Audrey DeBie also having hits. Smith, Booth, Pollard, Goodwin, J. Johnson, D. Johnson, and Swarnes all had hits for Marion County. Alexa Acton got the start for Brashear with Audrey DeBie picking up the win in relief. Goodwin pitched for Marion County.
