Thursday night was the second night of semi-finals in the Novinger Tournament. On the championship side of the brackets, the Scotland County boys advanced to the championship game with a 64-58 win over LaPlata and the Green City girls advanced with a 62-36 win over Milan. In the consolation bracket, the Brashear girls downed Novinger 41-33 and the Green City boys topped Milan 53-43.

In the girls consolation semi-final game, Brashear and Novinger traded buckets for the 1st quarter for a 9-9 tie. Brashear managed to get some defensive stops in the 2nd quarter and led 23-13 at halftime. Novinger closed the gap to 27-23 after three quarters, but Brashear finished with a strong 4th quarter to win by a final score of 41-33. Shelby Salter and Meredith Thomas were in double figures for Brashear with 14 and 13 points, Miranda Creason added 6, and Olivia Thompson and Nikkie Moncrief scored 4 points each. For Novinger, Emily Reardon led the scoring with 18 points, Jentry Rogers added 9, Maria Gunnels had 4, and Makala Findling scored 2 points.
