The Brashear Lady Tigers played the Kirksville JV Lady Tigers for consolation in the Brashear Tournament Friday night. Kirksville took the lead early on and were up 13-8 after one quarter and 26-20 at halftime. Brashear kept the game close in the 2nd half, but fell short by a final score of 46-40. Olivia Thompson scored 11 points for Brashear, Shelby Salter added 7, Nikkie Woods and Meredith Thomas had 6 each, Allison Thompson had 5, Skylar Housman had 3, and Mandy Taylor scored 2 points. For Kirksville, Emily VanRie scored 12 points, Annelise Billington and Mikenzie Beckley had 9 each, Haleight Simler scored 8 points, Alexandria Noel had 6, and Taylor Middleton scored 2 points.

Brashear Boys vs Putnam County JV February 8, 2013

The Brashear Tigers faced the Putnam County JV squad for consolation in the Brashear Tournament Friday. Brashear came out with the hot shooting hand early and had taken a 23-6 lead after one quarter and a 44-13 lead at halftime. Putnam County had a better 2nd half, but couldn't close the gap as Brashear claimed the consolation trophy by a final score of 69-40. Chance Hill led all scorers for Brashear with 20 points, Hayden Housman had 19, Gabe Thomas added 9, Luke Morrow had 6, and Sam Smith, Jacob Reeves, and Jeremy Barnes each scored 5 points. For Putnam County, Owen Harlon scored 15 points, Robbie Carnahan and Kameron Christian had 5 each, Hunter Schoonover and Clay Casady had 4 each, Justin Daniels had 3, and Morgen Watson and Anthony Sims scored 2 points each.
