Brashear at Novinger February 14, 2013
The Brashear Tigers visited Novinger for their final regular season game. The Lady Tigers trailed Novinger 9-6 after one quarter, but came back to take a 15-14 lead into the locker room. Things came undone for Brashear in a third quarter where Novinger outscored them 12-1. Trailing by 10 going into the final quarter, Brashear mounted a huge rally, scoring 17 points, but came up short falling by a final score of 35-32. Miranda Creason scored 8 points for Brashear, Shelby Salter had 7, Meredith Thomas and Mandy Taylor scored 6 each, Allison Thompson had 3, and Nikkie Woods scored 2 points. For Novinger, Emily Reardon scored 12 points, Jentry Rogers added 11, Maria Gunnels had 7, and Makala Findlind scored 5 points.
Novinger jumped out to an early lead in the boys game, outscoring Brashear 17-11 in the 1st quarter. Brashear held their own in the 2nd quarter, but still trailed 32-24 at halftime. The 2nd half was all Novinger as they held Brashear to 6 second half points as they cruised to a 68-30 win. Hayden Housman scored 20 points for Brashear, Jacob Reeves had 5, Gabe Thomas had 3, and Chance Hill scored 2 points. For Novinger, Trent Rodman and Blake Smith scored 19 points each, Justin Klingsmith added 18, Derek Parks had 8, and Eric Reardon scored 4 points.
