The Scotland County Lady Tigers softball team was in Brashear Wednesday night for a non-conference Varsity/JV double-header. Scotland County managed to string together back to back hits in the top of the first to take a 1-0 lead in what would turn into a pretty good defensive struggle. After taking the lead, Scotland County retired Brashear in order in the bottom of the 1st. Neither team scored again until Scotland County pushed across a run in the 4th and another in the 5th. Brashear got on the board in the bottom of the 5th as Alexa Acton doubled and scored on a Nikki Woods hit. Scotland County scored twice more in the 7th to make the final score 5-1. Alexa Acton, Nikki Woods, and Skylar Housman had hits for Brashear. Holland, Slaughter, Rader, Priebe, Harris, and Wright had hits for Scotland County. Alexa Acton pitched for Brashear with Rader picking up the win for Scotland County. Scotland County won the JV game 7-4.
