The Brashear Lady Tigers and Green City B Lady Gophers met Friday night in the consolation game at the Atlanta JH Tournament. Both teams played some tough defense keeping the scores low as Brashear had a slim 9-7 lead at halftime. After a couple of early scores by Brashear, Green City started chipping away at the lead and were ahead 17-14 at the end of 3 quarters of play. Both teams continued their defensive pressure and Brashear managed to tie the game to put it into overtime. Ultimately, a single Brashear freethrow decided the game in the finals seconds as Brashear took home the consolation trophy with a 29-28 win. Caitlee Hall scored 11 points for Brashear, Saydie Potter had 5, Hailey Lawrence added 4, Kacie Mihalovich and Mechalia Potter had 3 each, Hannah Reeves had 2, and Robbyn Wagster scored 1 point. For Green City, Katelyn Conner scored 11 points, Rayanna Smith, Destiny Lunsford, Maggie White, and Audra Lee had 4 each, and Kalea Rouse scored 1 point.
