The Brashear Lady Tigers faced the Marion County Lady Mustangs in the 1st round of district play Saturday. While Brashear's defense was able to hold Marion County to only 25 1st half points, Marion County's defense held Brashear to only 4 1st half points. Brashear managed 20 points in the 2nd half, but fell to Marion County by a final score of 44-24. Meredith Thomas and Allison Thompson each scored 5 points, Ashley Moncrief, Abi Kerby, and Sydney Sykes each had 2, and Abby Hall scored 1 point.
