Canton Baseball at Brashear April 8, 2014

The Canton baseball team was in Brashear Tuesday night. Canton wasted no time, putting up 7 runs in the top of the first. They would add 4 more in the top of the 3rd to increase their lead to 11-0 before Brashear answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third. It looked like the game might end after 5 innings as Canton led 15-2 going into the bottom of the 5th. Brashear managed to put up 5 runs to close the score to 15-7 and extend the game. Canton put the final nail in Brashear's coffin in the top of the 6th as they scored 9 runs and secured a 24-9 victory. Jacob Bleything homered and had a total of 4 hits for Brashear. Colt Acton had 3 hits, Luke Baker and Tyler Watson had 2 hits, and Sam Smith, Chance Hill, and Gabe Thomas each had hits. Luke Baker got the start for Brashear.
