The Brashear Tigers hosted the Linn County Mustangs Friday night in a Tri-County Conference double-header. The Lady Tigers got off to a rocky start allowing 7 runs in the first two innings. After that, Brashear settled down and played better, holding Linn County scoreless in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings. Brashear scored 3 times in the 4th to close the deficit to 7-3, but couldn't get any closer. Linn County added 2 more in the the 6th and another pair in the 7th to win by a final score of 11-3. Skylar Housman had 2 hits for Brashear with Abi Hall and Alli Garrett also having hits. Sidney Sykes got the start for Brashear giving up 6 hits and 8 walks while striking out 2.

The Tigers looked pretty solid in the early going of the baseball game allowing only 2 runs in the first 2 innings while scoring 2 runs of their own. Things went downhill after that with Linn County scoring 6 runs in the top of the third. Brashear rallied for a run in the 4th and another in the 6th, but Linn County went on to win 16-4. Chance Hill, Jacob Bleything, Gabe Thomas had 2 hits each for Brashear with Zane Sykes also having a hit. Gabe Thomas got the start for Brashear with Chance Hill and Colt Acton pitching in relief.
