Brashear at Novinger September 17, 2014

The Brashear softball and baseball teams were in Novinger Wednesday night. Although the Brashear softball girls were retired in order in the top of the first, that would be their last scoreless inning of the night. After Novinger got on the scoreboard with a pair of runs in the bottom of the 1st, Brashear scored 3 in the 2nd, 8 in the 3rd, 3 in the 4th and 4 in the 5th to claim an 18-3 win. Six Tigers had multi-hit games including Skylar Housman who homered, Erin Bradshaw who went 3-4 with 4 rbi's and Harli Mihalevich, Mandy Taylor, Abi Hall, and Alli Garrett. Sidney Sykes pitched for Brashear striking out 4.

The Tiger baseball team didn't fare as well as Novinger was hitting the ball and Brashear wasn't. Novinger scored 4 in the 1st, 4 in the 2nd and 5 in the 3rd on their way to a 13-0 victory. Despite playing short-handed, Brashear had some nice defensive plays. Colt Acton had Brashear's lone hit. Gabe Thomas pitched for Brashear with Jacob Bleything pitching in relief.
