Brashear at LaPlata Monday, October 6, 2014

Brashear traveled to LaPlata Monday for the last conference games of the season. Brashear got on the scoreboard first with a run in the top of the 1st, but LaPlata answered with a run in the bottom of the 1st. Brashear posted 4 more in the top of the 2nd to lead 5-1, but LaPlata scored 2 in the 2nd, 5 in the 3rd, and 2 in the 6th to claim a 10-5 win. Erin Bradshaw had 3 hits for Brashear, Sidney Sykes, Alli Garrett, and Abby Hall had 2 hits each, and Abi Kerby, Hannah Reeves, Hailey Lawrence, and Harli Mihalevich also had hits. Sidney Sykes got the start on the mound with Caitlee Hall pitching in relief.

In the baseball game, Brashear struck in the top of the 1st as Chance Hill, Jacob Bleything, and Gabe Thomas strung together hits to put the Tigers in front 1-0. LaPlata came out swinging hot bats in the bottom of the frame putting up 8 runs. Although Brashear managed a few more hits, they were unable to score again as LaPlata went on to win 11-1 in 6 innings. Jacob Bleything and Gabe Thomas had 2 hits each for Brashear with Chance Hill and Zane Sykes also having hits. Gabe Thomas got the start with Chance Hill pitching in relief.
