The Brashear Lady Tigers had quite a battle Thursday as they hosted the Atlanta Lady Hornets. Atlanta led 11-6 after the first quarter, but Brashear battled back to take a 21-15 lead at the half. Brashear was still ahead 33-28 after 3 quarters, but Atlanta came back and won by a score of 34-33. Mandy Taylor scored 11 points for Brashear, Skylar Housman had 8, Caitlee Hall and Allison Thompson had 5 each, and Abby Hall scored 4 points.
In the boys' game, Brashear and Atlanta battled hard with Atlanta holding a slim 10-7 first quarter lead, but Atlanta managed to extend the lead to 35-24 by halftime. Atlanta put the game away with a 31 point effort in the 3rd quarter, running their lead to 66-34 on their way to a 73-47 win. Chance Hill scored 18 points for Brashear, Colt Acton added 16, Jacob Reeves had 11, and Ty Gottman scored 2 points.
