The Brashear Tigers hosted Meadville Friday night for a softball/baseball double-header. In the softball game, Meadville got on the scoreboard first with a pair of runs in the 3rd. Brashear evened the score with a run in the 3rd and another in the 4th before exploding for 6 runs in the 5th to claim a 9-5 win. Mandy Taylor, Leah Grissom, and Harli Mihalevich had 2 hits each for Brashear with Sidney Sykes, Erin Bradshaw, and Hailey Lawrence also having hits. Sidney Sykes picked up the win. The Brashear baseball team also got a win Friday night by a final score of 12-1. Colt Acton turned in a dominant pitching performance, keeping the Meadville bats silent until Meadville scored their lone run in the 5th. Meanwhile, the Brashear bats were hot scoring 4 in the 1st, 3 in the 2nd, 3 in the 3rd, and 2 in the 4th. Zane Sykes hit a 2-run homer, with Aden Zentz, Jacob Bleything, and Dalton Hocker also having hits. Colt Acton got the win, striking out 14 in the 5-inning game.
