Brashear hosted LaPlata Friday for a softball/baseball double-header. LaPlata got on the scoreboard first in the softball game, pushing across a pair of runs in the 1st. Brashear scored 5 in the 3rd, but LaPlata bounced back, scoring 3 in the 4th to tie the game. LaPlata scored another 7 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th. Brashear mounted a rally in the 6th, scoring 4 times, but fell short of a win by a score of 13-9. Abi Kerby had 3 hits for Brashear, Erin Bradshaw and Harli Mihalevich had 2 hits each, and Skylar Housman and Mandy Taylor also had hits.

Neither team could get their offense started in the early innings of the baseball game until LaPlata took a 2-0 lead in the 3rd. The Bulldogs added single runs in the 4th and 6th, but had a breakout inning in the 5th, scoring 6 times. Meanwhile, the Tigers stuggled at the plate and fell to LaPlata by a final score of 10-0. Jacob Bleything had Brashear's lone hit. Colt Acton got the start for Brashear with Jacob Bleything pitching in relief.
