The Bucklin/Macon County co-op teams were in Brashear Tuesday for a softball/baseball double-header. The Brashear softball team got an early lead with a run in the bottom of the 1st inning. Both teams scored single runs in the 3rd, and Brashear scored again in the 4th to take a 3-1 lead. BMC scored another run in the 5th, then exploded for 9 runs in the 6th to take an 11-3 lead. Brashear rallied for 5 runs in the 7th, but came up short losing by a score of 11-8. Abi Kerby and Sayde Potter had 2 hits each for Brashear, with Skylar Housman, Sidney Sykes, Mandy Taylor, Erin Bradshaw, Hannah Reeves, and Harli Mihalevich also having hits. Sidney Sykes got the start for Brashear.

Bucklin/Macon County jumped on the scoreboard with 2 first inning runs in the baseball game. Brashear answered with a run in the third as Jacob Bleything singled and scored. That would be all the offense Brashear could muster as BMC added runs in the 3rd, 6th, and 7th to claim victory 7 to 1. Jacob Bleything had a pair of hits for Brashear, with Zane Sykes and Byron Hines also having hits. Colt Acton got the start for Brashear with Jacob Bleything pitching in relief.
