The Lady Tiger softball team headed to the Schuyler County Tournament Saturday. Their first opponent of the day was Cairo who went to work putting up 4 runs in the top of the 1st. Brashear's defense tightened up for the next 3 innings, holding Cairo scoreless until a 3-run 4th and a 5-run 5th ended the game early. Brashear scored lone runs in the 2nd and 5th in the 12-2 loss. Averi Acton had 2 hits for Brashear with Emily Mason and Tanna Garlock also having hits. Acton took the loss for Brashear.

Scotland County was their opponent for the 2nd game. Brashear scored 2 in the 1st, 1 in the 2nd, and 2 in the third and held a 5-2 lead after 4 innings. The Tiger offense couldn't score again, and Scotland County eventually went on to win 9-5. Alexa Higgins doubled and had 2 singles for Brashear, Saydie Potter had 2 hits, and Emily Mason, Tanna Garlock, and Hannah Reeves also had hits. Averi Acton got the start on the mound.
