Brashear Baseball Hosts North Shelby March 21, 2017

The spring baseball opener for Brashear was a real slug-fest, featuring 7 home runs. Five of those came from the Tiger bats, but it wasn't enough for Brashear as North Shelby won by a score of 17-12. Brashear jumped out to an early lead of 3-0 after one inning, and added 8 in the 2nd and 1 in the third, but 7-run innings by North Shelby in the 2nd and 4th proved too much for the Tigers to overcome. Jacob Bleything, Zane Sykes, Brhet Place, Aden Zentz, and Travis Nilson homered for the Tigers with Wyatt Reeves, John Gerhold, and Levi Blankenship also having hits. Zane Sykes got the start with Brhet Place pitching in relief.
