Brashear Visits Bucklin for Baseball/Softball Games Tuesday

The Tigers sweep a pair of conference games.

Freshman Matt Thomas got his first varsity start Tuesday night at Bucklin and made the most of it. He pitched 4 shutout innings in picking up a win. His Tiger teammates provided plenty of support, tallying 11 runs in 5 innings for an 11-0 win. Jacob Shipman came on in relief in the 5th and stuck out 3 to close out the game.

The softball game was a short one also. Brashear jumped out to a 2-0 lead after 1. Kimberly Elsea provided the big offensive blow in the second when she hit a bases-loaded triple. The Lady Tigers went on to a 16-0 3-inning victory. Christina Scudder picked up the win striking out 6 and coming within a hit batsman of being perfect in the no-hit shutout.

Brashear hosts Bevier Friday night in the last conference games of the season.
