Brashear Tops Marion County in 1st Round District Baseball Friday

Brashear pitchers Jacob Shipman and Matt Thomas teamed up for a two-hitter while Brashear batters pounded out 10 hits in the 8-1 win.

For Brashear, Tyler Killen went 3 for 3 with 3 singles, Kiley Watson had a pair of doubles and a single, Jacob Shipman had a double and a single, and Daniel Smith, Michael McKim and Matt Thomas each had singles. Bainter and Goodpasture both had singles for Marion County. Brashear will face 1st seed Atlanta Monday at 2 p.m.
