Scotland County girls and Brashear boys take 1st, Brashear girls and Scotland boys claim 3rd.

The Brashear Lady Tigers wasted no time in their 3rd place game with Green City. Brashear opened the game with an 11-0 run and led 15-5 after the 1st quarter of play. The Lady Tigers continued to outscore the Lady Gophers every quarter as they led 21-9 at halftime, and 29-14 after 3 quarters on their way to a 44-21 win. Shelby Rogers paced Brashear with 17 points, Caroline Slavin had 8, Emily Ladwig scored 7, Macy Rogers added 6, Abby McKim had 4, and Sydney Slavin scored 2 points. For Green City, Shelby Jacobs scored 12 points, Lindsay Snyder had 3, and LaRinda Rogers, Diana Lewis, and Annie Thomas scored 2 points each.

The Brashear Tigers and LaPlata Bulldogs squared off one more time in the boy's championship game. These two teams have played many close contests in the recent past with LaPlata consistently coming out on top. On Saturday night, Brashear jumped on the board first, but LaPlata managed to take the lead midway through the 1st quarter before the Tigers fought back to reclaim the lead 10-9 after one quarter of play. Brashear managed to pull out to a 5 point lead at one point in the 2nd quarter, but LaPlata held a 19-18 edge at halftime. Brashear pulled ahead again in the 3rd quarter and led 33-28 going into the final frame where the Tigers outscored LaPlata 20-11 to claim a 53-39 win. Brashear had a trio of players in double figures. Trae Treasure scored 18, Kiley Watson had 14, and Justin Hazen added 10. Anthony Ambrosia scored 4, Matt Thomas and Ryan Ferdig scored 2 points each, and Cody Snelling scored 1 point. For LaPlata, Taylor Wheeler scored 16, Jordan Smith had 9, Curtiss Bunch scored 4, Hayden Fouch had 3, and Donnie Hansen and Zach Small scored 2 points each.

In the boys' 3rd place game, Scotland County defeated Milan 53-42 and the Scotland County girls downed Bevier 61-26 to claim 1st place.
