Brashear Lady Tigers season ends with a loss to Marion County.

Marion County jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first at Wednesday night's district softball game. The Lady Tigers got on the scoreboard with 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th but were still down 5-3. Marion County added runs in the 5th and 6th putting Brashear down 7-3 going into the bottom of the 7th. Brashear managed to score a pair of runs and had the tying runs on base, but left them stranded there as Marion County hung on for the 7-5 win.

In other first round action, Novinger and North Shelby played a scoreless game through 5 innings. Novinger pushed across a run to take a 1-0 lead, but North Shelby answered with 4 runs to advance with a 4-1 win. LaPlata also advanced with a 13-3 win over Atlanta.
