Brashear sweeps a varsity/JV double-header.

Brashear pitcher Matt Thomas helped his own cause when he cracked a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 1st inning. Canton got on the scoreboard in the 3rd with 3 runs to tie the game, then followed up with a run in the top of the 5th to take a 4-3 lead. Brashear answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the 5th to take a 5-4 lead for the win. For Brashear, Thomas had 3 hits, Daniel Smith had 2 hits, and Hayden Coin, Adam Songer, and Nick Bradshaw also had hits. Baker had 2 hits for Canton, and Ellison, Irvin, and Chimis also had hits. Thomas went the distance on the mound for Brashear striking out 11. Serbin took the loss for Canton.

Brashear also took the JV contest by a score of 5-3.
