LaPlata scored a run in the 1st, and two in the 2nd before really opening up a lead with a 4-run 4th. Meanwhile, the Tigers struggled at the plate as LaPlata went on to end the game early with a 10-0 win in 5 innings. Nick Bradshaw had Brashear's lone hit with a double in the 1st inning. Seth Brown, Tanner Riggins, Jake Waddle, Hunter Howe, and Dylan Slaughter had hits for LaPlata. Freshman Gabe Thomas went the distance for Brashear giving up 9 hits, but only 3 earned runs while striking out 2. Justin Riggins picked up the win for LaPlata throwing a 1-hitter and striking out 8. LaPlata also took the JV contest by a 5-0 score.
