Brashear sweeps a Varsity/JV double-header on the road.

Brashear got on the scoreboard in the top of the 1st inning as leadoff hitter Meredith Thomas doubled and was driven home by Cierra Hines. In the 2nd inning, Brashear extended their lead as Nikki Moncrief was hit by a pitch, Katie Watson and Kristin Love drew walks, then Meredith Thomas, Shelby Salter, and Cierra Hines all singled producing 5 runs to put Brashear up 6-0. Canton scored their lone run in the 4th as Brashear cruised to an 8-1 win. Katie Watson, Cierra Hines, and Meredith Thomas each had 2 hits for Brashear with Shelby Salter, Alexa Acton, Katie Smith, and Kristin Love also having hits. Carper, Janney, and Berhorst had hits for Canton. Cierra Hines picked up the win for Brashear tossing a 3-hitter while striking out 5. Carper took the loss for Canton striking out 6 while surrendering 10 hits. Brashear also took the JV game by a score of 8-7.
